Can’t convince your mom and dad to upgrade from IE6? Tell them it’s to fight world hunger.

Microsoft probably hates IE6 as much as the rest of us, but they have vowed to continue support until the end of its life cycle, around 2012. Still, that doesn’t mean they don’t want to get IE6 users to upgrade.

Their latest (and newly extended) promotion involves donating 16 meals for every user who upgrades from IE6 to IE8 during Hunger Action Month, which starts tomorrow:

 

 

We’re fans of any campaign that both fights hunger and helps destroy IE6. If fighting world hunger isn’t a good enough reason to abandon a horrendously outdated browser, perhaps nothing is.

 

 

So you know guys, if you want to help with the world hunger problem, you can download IE8 :)

It’s coming a new laptop that would change the laptops and netbooks market in every aspect, here’s the deal… Nokia’s going to take out a new product and it’s not a cellphone…yeah, it’s not… instead it’s the new Nokia Booklet 3G.

And for make it clear for everyone here’s what engadget.com has to say about that.

Yeah, Windows 7 is going to be the OS of that laptop ;) it would be great isn’t it?

 

BTW: There’s a movement that began yesterday in Boston that are promoting something against Windows 7, they’re talking about “seven sins” you can google that it’s quite interesting.

Así mismo como tan leyendo (aprovecho para escribirlo en español debido a que ha llegado a tierra panameña).

El nuevo producto de la compañía Apple finalmente llega a Panamá, despúes de su lanzamiento meses atrás este producto ha significado un aumento en la productividad de sus clientes, haciendo más fácil ciertas funciones pero considero yo que no ha sido un cambio “radical” en todo su sentido y expresión.

Está bien, es un iPhone 3GS y no cualquiera tiene uno, y más que todo como ya se ha presentado para otros productos, lo que apple vende es la marca… en Panamá no se tiene la cantidad de dinero necesaria (a mi criterio) para comprar algo que solamente le han añadido las funciones del Teclado apaisado, el gran cambio de cortar, pegar y copiar, una brujula (todavía no entiendo para que poner una brujula en un celular y contarlo como un update puesto que simplemente uno puede bajar un app para eso y se soluciona.

En fin, el producto novedoso me imagino debe estar en un plan sumamente caro, algo por el estilo de 40$ mensuales como minimo + el costo del producto (barato ah?)

 

En mi opinión personal, hay un celular que brinda estas cualidades, y es más barato (a mi criterio personal) pero vendría siendo de la competencia y no haré publicidad de el en este post xD.

 

Pronto vendrá mi review del celular en cuestión, en fin si eres Mac y no tienes iPhone, mejor es comprar este celular y no la version anterior (este debe venir con el nuevo firmware si no me equivoco, si me equivoco porfavor ponerlo aca para hacer el update :P)

As you’re reading, the famous R&B singer Chris Brown has been sentenced today to 5 years probation and 6 month.

As you should know months ago, Chris Brown gave Rihanna a bunch of hits (not exactly music-like). After that episode of the daily life of these 2 famous artists, Rihanna got really injured; that’s why today Chris brown attended to a judgment in which he has been sentenced to 5 years  probation and 6 month.

Zup! everybody, I got news for you guys… I’ll not be very quick with this new ‘cause it’s that important, and you need to get update about The Pirate Bay situation.

 

As you should know, Piratebay.org is a website that many users around the world daily visit in order to download any program, or movie, or music or whatever… most of the time, every single program has their own Crack, or serial or whatever you need to get full access to the program, that’s not the biggest secret of the internet but it’s something really important for some people (the websites & downloads)

 

Yesterday most of us found on web sites that piratebay had been closed by Swedish or something like that, I really don’t remember who were the ones that close the website. The website was closed like 5 or 6 hours and many of us thought that it was the end of the big piracy giant Piratebay.

 

Today we heard good news, Piratebay is working. It’s logo is now a funny t-shirt against the one who closed the torrent site ‘cause piracy, and it says:

 

I spent month of time and millions of dollars to close The Pirate Bay and all I’ll get is this beautiful t-shirt.

Yeah, as you’re reading this friday #TGIF is the official release of the new OS of Mac company.

The Mac OS X Snow Leopard will be available as an upgrade to the current Leopard system for $29 and can be pre-ordered now, the company said.

In my personal opinion, these sudden release of the new OS it’s not more that the fact that the Mac Company wants to beat the prices of its new and obvious enemy, the Windows 7.

The interesting fact in here is that the upgrade price is just 29$ that means that it’s obviously trying to compete with the new MS’s OS.

The other thing interesting here is that these release is programmed for Friday 28, too close from September, too close to the Mac Keynote, and also too close from the moment in which the doubts of Mac Tablet, iPod Touch with camera, etc will come to the bright side and present as they are and not as others say it would look like.

Ok today, checking out the iTunes Library, I found this new CD coming from Sean Paul, it’s called “Imperial Blaze”
As always there’s a Normal CD and the Deluxe edition, the deluxe edition (The one I got) has 20 songs including a Spanish version of Hold My Hand.
This CD is one that I strongly recommend for those who like me, like this music style that is called Dance Hall, Reggae and/or Hip Hop.
Next I’ll put the list of songs that it includes.

Maybe you don’t know about 15 years ago, there was a browser called Netscape, it was the one that introduced over thousands of people toward the internet world, at 1990s it was defeated by the OS giant Microsoft (MS) who creates the Internet Explorer (now a days so critiqued for it’s security, and so on).

 

Ok coming to what’s happening now and not in 1990’s, the creator of Netscape comes back with this new project, it’s called “RockMelt” and many experts around the world have said that’s gonna be something really awesome, and everyone have like great expectations of what RockMelt’s going to be.

Hope to see more about this project it really took my attention.

Una producción panameña que ha salido recientemente, el video deja ganas de leer esta novela, yo principalmente no puedo decir que soy lector nato ni nada por el estilo que me la paso leyendo continuamente de “x” o “y” libro pero este me parece realmente interesante, y lo sorprendente es que es raro encontrar libros de esta calibre y categoría que son producidos en tierra panameña, espero que cuando salga el video pueda darle una ojeada y llene completamente mis espectativas, no se porque presiento que lo hará.

  I didn’t know that the blackberry company has released a new Blackberry with this elegant-new style shape, with combines the regular or normal keyboard of an ordinary BlackBerry and with the characteristic of closing it making that the same keyboard gets lock.

It’s now on Panamanian Movistar’s company, also with the new Nokia Xpress 5800 cellphone that is imo (in my personal opinion) better than the one presented before in this post.

 

This cellphone finally gets to movistar, I’m following it since it came out like a project, and it’s good to know that finally movistar have it, the only problem? in movistar is to expensive everything, at least this cellphone got Wifi so you can connect to twitter, facebook, digg, etc..

Do you remember that I was blogging some time ago about the “original” ideas which Microsoft is releasing recently? Ok, here’s another one. 

As you should know, Apple has stores all around the world with different names in which they sell all kind of Mac based products, it’s difficult for example here in Panama, find products that are exclusive for Apple Stuff (Such an iPod, iPhone, etc), for that is that here exist something called “Mac Store ® “.

When we talk about PC computers there are a lot of spots in which you can go if you want to purchase anything for your PC, but there’s no one exclusive place that sell MS products and dedicates to MS OS’s promotion, that’s why Microsoft is releasing it’s new store (Original huh?).

The exclusive MS Store logo, has been leaked today and it’s the picture that I had place on the top of this post. I think that it’s just an “ok” logo, but no one that can call the consumers attention.

For those who don’t know, I like to write ‘bout stuff I like.. and those things are: publicity, marketing, and off course all that technology stuff. The reason I like to do this is ‘cause I want it, and of course I want to improve my writing and my English.

What does “MS new ads ‘Life comes together’” is about? I’ll explain it in a simple way.

During the past 3 or 2 month Microsoft comes out with this big and original idea of “I’m PC” (sarcasm) and the big OS developer giant begun to make it public in television, internet, twitter, etc… Amazingly this idea in the beginning was not thinking first by Microsoft, it was by Apple.

After several weeks, Apple demands Microsoft ‘cause in their ads they says something like:

“An apple is to expensive and you’re only paying for the Branch” (Paraphrased)

As you can see in the internet, the new Microsoft’s OS will be released officially on October 22 for everyone… but it’ll be on the retail stores this August 6.
