Ladies and Gentlemen, Facebook has officially lost “The Magic”. How could this be possible?? isn’t Facebook one of the most important and actual companies on USA?? Dude what are you talking about??. Simple, Facebook doesn’t obey anymore it’s basic function, get information directly from your friends, about your friends’ life.

I’ll explain you this in a quick way. Facebook is so overloaded with junk information (apps, crappy calendars, meaning-less games, dumb quizzes) that you can’t go to the Facebook page and see something you like or get “any information” updated (a.k.a. gossip.) I log in today and I only saw 3 things:

1- Someone is Aries and he’ll be rich tomorrow.
2- Someone ask “her heart” and it told her (in Facebook) she needs to get a boyfriend.
3- Almost 547 messages about “Hey recuerda mandar tu lista a…”

People’s looking for real and direct contact with their friends, the only thing apps are doing is making people think that there’s no need for them to post or update his/her status. They think “Facebook is to stalk, not to be stalked” “I wont share my pictures, bleh.. they’re mine!” “I prefer people not to look at my wall so I’ll close it”. Think about it, you wont be the only one who think that. The result, in a near feature you’ll not be able to stalk because everything is going to be locked.

The combination of these two facts (Facebook apps and the fear of been stalked by others) is making Facebook’s users to loose the connection with friends. People is, little by little, stop updating it’s profiles and consequently considering Facebook useless.

Why I would keep using my Facebook if I want to see the pictures of the weekend’s trip which my friend attends but I don’t know the gal who makes the album?

What is people doing? taking alternatives. Yep, by alternatives I mean Twitter. Twitter’s a most direct way to share information about what you’re doing at the moment. It’s not an app talking about fortune stuff, it’s your friend saying “Hey I’ll make a conference tomorrow”. Similar? yep, but not equal. The app-less platform makes users who use it to “tweet” because if you don’t you’re not doing anything but reading (And soon or later you’ll want to get into the conversation, yep.. you’ll tweet!)

Get information directly from your friends. I dare you to get a friend on twitter by the weekend. You won’t regret, you’ll be more connected to him/her and he/she’ll have a nice time using Twitter.

Have a nice week!
